Our play rooms
We have 4 individual play rooms that are age and stage appropriate. They are all individually designed so that your child gets the best learning experience in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage, to find out more about this please look at our curriculum.
Nursery room & Green Toddlers
The Nursery Room provides a safe, secure and inviting space for babies from 3 months old to toddlers of 2 years.
We have a team of qualified dedicated staff that create an environment to encourage your child’s development through sensory and heuristic play. Our daily routine is adapted to your child’s individual needs. they also have their own private outdoor space.
The Red room provides places for children aged 18months- 3 years where the emphasis is to encourage independence and develop language and social skills. Their day is structured to provide lots of fun learning experiences such as story and rhyme time, messy and sensory play and even basic numeracy, they also get time for some free play to investigate and explore
Rainbow room is for children aged between 2-5 years, providing opportunities for your child to work towards the Early Learning Goals in preparation for ‘big school.’ These ‘goals’ are adapted through numerous activities, various experiences and continuous play with observations taking place on a daily basis ensuring each activity is adapted to suit their individual progress and development.
The children gain an extensive knowledge of their immediate environment and beyond which develops their abilities and creates an atmosphere of learning through fun and play. The planning in the room has a real emphasis on learning and development including, numeracy, literacy, understanding the world, being creative, being imaginative and discussion time to share our learning and thoughts with each other.
In the Rainbow room there is a private area designed specifically for our Pre-School children who are in their final year here at nursery. In this area they will do lots of focused activities to get them ready for school, working alongside our qualified and devoted staff and Early Years Teacher. We believe that the transition from nursery to school should be as smooth as possible and the children leave well-equipped and ready for their next chapter.
Our garden is designed to enhance outdoor play with several different areas, to allow children to investigate, explore and use their imagination to extend their learning. Some of the areas we have are; Mud kitchen, Sand area, Vegetable patch, Summer House, Musical area, Performance area and Wooden Physical obstacles such as a balancing beam and stepping stones.
